It is all about US dollar trade. If the dollar rises, gold will fall.

My stop was hit on SIVR today at $15.81. Average holding price was $17.00 for a net loss of 7% in roughly 100 days.

Still in GLD with half my position showing a profit. Sitting very close to my break even stop for the remaining half of that position though.

Good for you. 7% lost is not too bad. Having a sell discipline is not easy, but it can your bottom line when the market crashes. It is easy to say than done. I wish I have done on some of the stocks I owned now.

My remaining position in GLD was stopped out on Feb. 5 at my break even point (103.30). This resulted in a 15% gain for half my position (sold 118.80), break even on the other half, tallying a 7.5% overall gain in roughly 3.5 months time.
