In response to the thread about discussing good borrowers vs bad borrowers,
http://forums.go4reward.com/lenders/picking-picture-perfect-borrowers.
I have poll for you all to have a vote on. I want to do that before Prospers comes back online again. But I have think about how we should do this. Any suggestions would be good.

My thinkings are:
1. I still want to have a "Loans to watch" board for others to see (public), so more lenders can come, join in,  and discuss about loans. Also borrowers can respond why there are issues with the loans, so their loans can be funded.
2. Lenders Only Private Board (Only for lenders with loans with Prospers to discuss why a loan is good or bad, For lenders's eyes only!). In Investar's case, you will be able to join this board.
3. We already have a private board for Prospers members only, so borrowers can discuss their loans openly to the Prospers members without the whole world knows about it. (But members have to send me a email via Prosper to me to verify their Prosper membership status.)

I will update all the members status in the near future. So if we ever have a need for Lenders only board, it would be easy for me then. Please provide some feedback to me.

I think it's agreat idea. It would give us a private platform  where we, as a group, could 'disect'  potential loans. You guys might see things that I don't, etc. Thats the basic reason I joined SCP in the first place.

After some cautious consideration I have decided to vote for the Lender's Only Board. They way you have set down the protocol for forum participation here was very helpful. Thanks! I remain concerned that offering too many boards creates confusion as to what topic should be posted where. I can foresee topics started in "Loans To Watch" being moved to "Lenders Watch" because of sensitive content that comes into play as discussion evolves.

I realize you want "Loans To Watch" public so any lender can have a look-see without the hassle of joining the forum and waiting for membership upgrade. But truly helpful discussion will contain information that should simply not be public. They will still have to sign-on to see the "Lenders Watch" discussion and that's what they need.

Currently, "Loans To Watch" is pretty much a board where lenders pimp a loan on behalf of some borrower he/she likes. Why not just post that kind of thing to the "Borrowers" board? That's where the rest of the pimping takes place.

edit to add
Second idea on keeping all pimping in one place. Currently we have borrower pimping mixed in with general borrower discussion. Maybe our boards related to lenders, borrowers and the loans ought to be:

Lenders
Discuss issues related to Prosper lenders

Borrowers
Discuss issues related to Prosper borrowers

Loans To Watch
Prosper loans of interest (lenders, borrowers, advertise all listings here)

Lenders Watch (private)
Prosper lenders discuss loans and borrower details in private

As for topics in "Loans To Watch" - our membership schema identifies "Prosper Member' versus "Prosper Lender" so a quick glance to the left hand margin will tell you if this is a lender's pet project or an outright borrower advertisement. Also bear in mind, only borrowers who enjoy participating on this forum will be posting. Shouldn't they have equal say?

I do agree with Investar for the fact that too many boards could be confusing for the viewers and forum members. That is the reason for open discussion on how to setup it properly. I like Investar's suggestions so far.

The reasons for "loans to watch", so lenders post questions to see any borrowers can explain why the lenders should bid on his or her loans. Also we can attract for lenders to come to our forum so more ideas can help us to bid on "good" loans.

How about the "Prosper members" only board? Borrowers can discuss their loans and credit credentials in private if they wanted to to improve their chances on loans.

So the boards would be:
[box title=TitleBox]Lenders
Discuss issues related to Prosper lenders

Borrowers
Discuss issues related to Prosper borrowers

Loans To Watch
Prosper loans of interest (lenders, borrowers, advertise all listings here)

Lenders Only
Prosper lenders discuss loans in private

Prosper Member Only
Discuss issues related to Prosper members in private[/box]

Good point, Go4r! Prosper borrowers need a place to open up to lenders without the whole world listening in. Perhaps say this....

Prosper Members Only
Borrowers discuss loans with lenders in private

Or maybe that makes the board too specific? There may be other topics to be discussed away from prying eyes. I suppose the Moderators can just 'move' or 'split topic' a borrower started in "Loans To Watch" when disclosure gets too personal. Gotta make sure you don't move it to "Lenders Only" by mistake where the borrower can't get to it.

I just glanced to the left margin and noticed our very favorite "Forum Addict" has moved .. .. no longer in Maryland, now lives in MONEYland.

That is the ideal place to be.  Dream big! Hopefully, the loans discussions from the forum can help us to improve our loan stats and rocket us to the MoneyLand.  Wink Grin

Another worth while idea to be considered. Don't forget, we have our group's private board, called "SCP Prosper Group Only Board". Information can only be viewed by SCP members only, such as Jason's own monthly newsletters.

Here is another interesting idea. How about another board for all other Prosper groups? If anyone of Prosper group leaders has something to say about their groups. Perhaps Prosper lenders can get better inform about the group's own loans. I guess this may go into the "Loans to Watch" board category. I am just brainstorming some ideas for discussion.
