I got a letter from Chase to indicate that I will get annual fee in the time frame of July and August. So I called Chase, the rep told me that I will have the annual fee as indicated from the letter. I asked to see if Chase can waive my annual fee, but he told me the policy cannot be change. So I went ahead and cancel the card before the fee hits my account.

Did anyone of you get such letter from Chase?

i am paying extra on all my loans but my one credit card fell behind because i wasnt able to send a payment in because the system was down here on base and I wasnt able to pay it . so now i have a minimum payment that i cant reach but am sending in 150$ a month to break it down until other loans are paid off. then ill move more funds into paying the CC off ASAP. My debt is manageable. I get a re enlisment bonus coming in soon so ill prolly use that to catch it up and invest the rest and use the intrest from what i invest to pay towards the credit card. so i wont be struggling with income. chipping away at it.

You got it! Get rid of debt is your first priority.

that's not a loan i  would have bid on. too many motor vehicle loans since taking out credit 12 years ago. he says his expenses are half of his income so i don't know why he has to borrow in the first place.

but the funny thing is its not going to pay off the deficit.  the only thing they need to do to fix it is audit the fed.

Same here no fee for August.

I wonder if there was something in your terms and conditions about it.

yeah . im thinking about adding a lot more money into this . pretty much like a second job for me .  once i get some bills caught up i wanna have a lot more money into this . i think this will have a better return than a CD because you get the money back each month and can send it right back in for more intrest. if they are reliable and make payments

Focus on your paying off your credit card or other high interest loans first before investing in Prosper. Debt is the biggest drag for many people.

yes but if you pay the minimum on a credit card it will take a lot longer to pay off . than a prosper loan at the same intrest rate

Yes, that is the big portion of the revenue for the credit card companies. It is better off to pay off credit card first than any other loans, except the bloody thirst payday loans.
