My internet was down for the past 5 days because of the winter blizzard (22 inches of snow) in the DC area. My kids school was closed for the week too. It was not TV and internet for the week. No fun at all.

Yes, round 2 of the blizzard hit us today again. Hopefully my power and internet stay up throughout the storm.

My Internet and TV went out yesterday. Just got them back .

The new thing I learned is that I can't watch the shows recorded on DVR when the connection is out? Why would I need an active connection?

Wow! That is news to me. Perhaps they need to be in sync with your service provider in case you don't subscribe to their service?

We are getting upwards of 4 inches here in Atlanta tonight. That is unheard of for us!

Our major problem is that we don't have the people or equipment to handle snow/ice. It will be tough to get around for a couple days.

I heard Texas is getting snow too. Are most of the stores closed during the snow days too? Drive slow if you have not driven in the snow before, that goes for us in the North too.

Yes, and remember that a high heavy vehicle with 4 wheel drive helps you move forward where other cars get stuck.

However, once moving high just means you are more likely to flip, heavy means that you are harder to stop, and we all have 4 wheel brakes.

Just because you can plow through the snow at 40 miles per hour doesn't mean it is a good idea.

A lot of stuff here closes but Kroger, which is 24 hours at most locations, does not close. This is good as I like to eat!

I have driven in snow plenty of times before. Work has sent me to MI and IN during the dead of winter so I got my schooling in winter driving. I am not worried about me but all the other fools out there who don't know how to drive.

When we got snow back in Jan for a couple days we had over 600 accidents the first day including at 27-car pile up on I-285. Good times.
