foofiter,

Thanks! hopefully some more people here will see the value of bidding on this loan.
This loan will be paid back. I think my listing offers very little risk and a nice reward.

I am an open book, any questions are welcomed

I do agree with foofiter. I will bid on your loan too. If you can with something small, and you can show us that you are making on time payments, then I am sure future loans should not be a problem for you.

I'm the fourth person to bid. So far three of the first 4 have been from this group.

lcb:

Try posting this to the prosper forum as well. Even if you get one bid out of it then it was worth the effort and doesn't take long.

I hate to see good loans that do not get enough bids.

lcb:

Make sure to keep your payments on time every time, so you can have a good track record of them when you have the need for lending comes again with Prosper or any other institutions in the future.

I will make sure than I pay ahead of time on payments.

Like I have stated in the past. My D credit score is due to ratios and not deliquencies.

Thanks for your support, I won't let you down.

Thanks for the support.

If it helps, I will make the following pledge. The day the loan gets funded I will make 2 payments that day.
This will set me up to be always 2 payments ahead of the loan repayments

I bid at a lower rate because of our pledge.

The loan was funded and I faxed in some forms that they needed.

As soon as the loan hits my account I will honor our pledge and make 2 payments.

Thank you so much to everyone in this group who bid early and helped get this loan approved

Great! If you can keep your pledge and without late payments, then you can give us the lenders with great comforts.

Here's my suggestion: explain, explain, explain.  Use the entire space that Prosper gives you in your write-up.  This is all that we know about you.  You are asking us to give you money based on a picture, a few numbers and a short write-up.  If you think about it, that is a tall order.  Do everything you can to assure us that you aren't a scammer.  I'm not saying you are a scammer, I'm saying How do we know that?  We have to make a judgement solely on your writeup, so take the time and effort to make it as user-friendly to us as possible. Be completely upfront about all the dents in your credit - what are the public records - explain; why is your revolving credit so high - explain; What do you do for a living, what is your job situation, what is your family situation.  Give us as much information as possible.  Good luck.

1) A brief about yourself and why needing a Prosper loan.

2) If your credit is "bad" - provide a brief explanation of WHY. (DQs: Amts & Why, Bankruptcy date, etc.)

3) Describe exactly what the loan will be used for.

4) Provide some sort of budget that shows how you expect to repay the loan. Monthly net income $xxxx Monthly budget with the prosper loan in place:$x - Your Expenses (One each per line.) $x - Credit Cards Not paid off with this loan = $x- total monthly expenses =$x leftover to be able to make my Prosper Monthly Payment.

5) A final closing line or two is often useful.

maybe this works.

Purpose of the loan:

I plan to use this loan to help Prosper lenders earn some money.  I don’t need this loan but the alternative is not borrowing the money thus disallowing Prosper lenders to earn some money.  There is no pressure for you to bid on this loan.  I can make it work without this loan, but if I do get funded, I expect to pay it off pretty early.  I’m very conservative, so I don't borrow money very much.  I think that is why credit rating is so poor.  I have never defaulted or made a late payment in my life.  I have tried to keep a few revolving lines of credit in order to improve my credit score even though I hate them a lot.

I tend to pay off all my loans and credit cards really fast.  The only debt I have currently is my mortgage with a balance of $43,807.73.  I have quite a few credit lines in my credit report, because I had lots of credit cards and lots of fun closing them to get a new one with a zero percent interest rate.

Financial situation:

I have a steady job but I only make $2,030 a month.  Because my income is low and I have two kids, I always receive an Earned Income Credit around $3,500 which is part of my tax refund.  If you still think my income is too low, then you should not bid on this loan.  The company I work for has been around for 56 years.  The original founder is still the president.  I don't forsee the company being closed.  I think they know how to run the place really well.   I live in a military town.  We are kindly immune to economic downturns.

Since I have very little debt, my only firm financial commitments are a mortgage, utilities, gasoline, and food.

Monthly net income: $2030.00
Monthly expenses: $2030.00
  Housing: $442.60
  Insurance: $100.00
  Gas: $125.00
  Utilities: $180.00
  Phone, cable, internet: $120.00
Credit cards and other loans: $ 0.00
  Food & Entertainment:  $300.00
  This loan: $332.14
  Left over: $430.26

FYI, this borrower was looking for feedback in September of 2008. I believe he was funded and probably no longer looks at these forums.
